India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India has planned to build up 1,500 outlets working as service centres by 2015. This will increase its production capacity to over 17 lakh units yearly and will also facilitate employment to over 22,000 people.
At the moment the company has 2,784 service points and is planning to expand it to over 4,200 outlets in the next five years, that means a jump of more than 50%. “We expect service load at our network multiply manifold, as Maruti Suzuki scales up capacity to 1.7 million units in coming years,” Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Executive Officer (Service) Pankaj Narula said.
